Who is the End User?

Task: Determine the End User and the problem
Look at the content below
Determine who the end user is, by Gender, ethnicity, age and interests
E.g. Gillette's end user are males of all ethnicity's who shave, above the age of 12

End User Requirements

In the cartoon above the end user really wanted a tyre swing, what were the problems, think pair share

Bad Designs vs End User Requirements
The world is full of bad designs.

Sometimes the output is functional but it doesn't quite meet the requirements of the end user

For example if the door handle on the right's job is to tell the user to push. Then the handle tells the user an opposite message.

As digital technology students you will be required to make outcomes that meet the end user requirements.

The Process
In order to figure out the end user requirements we need to do the following:
1.) Identify out who the typical end user will be
2.) Describe about what sort of things that age group likes and wants
3.) Define the purpose of the outcome
4.) Define from that what the end user requirements might be

e.g. The wiggles website
1.) Mums and young children
2.) Bright Colours, songs pictures of the wiggles
3.) The purpose is to provide information about the wiggles and their tour dates, as well as provide a shop
4.) The information will need to clear, the website needs to be attractive to mums and young kids
